What you need
- Windows (64-bit). A Mac version may follow later.
- Free disk space: about 3 GB for the standard version, or about 5 GB if you use an NVIDIA graphics card, plus room for your music library.
- An internet connection for first-time setup, unless you choose the offline download.
First start
The first time Premix opens, a setup screen installs its audio tools and models, and detects whether you have an NVIDIA graphics card to speed things up. This is a one-off step and can take a while, depending on your connection. The offline download includes these pieces, so no internet is needed during setup.
Check your download (optional)
Each file lists a checksum. To check yours, open PowerShell in the folder with the file and run the command below, then compare the result with the checksum shown. They should match exactly.
Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA512 .\your-file-name
About the beta
- Beta builds are free to use during the beta. They may have faults and will change.
- Keep a backup of anything important, such as your library and mixes.
- When the paid version launches (planned at US$15, one-off), beta builds may stop working or need a licence. We will give notice before that happens.
- Newer NVIDIA RTX 50-series cards currently run stem splitting on the processor, which is slower. Support for them is planned.
